Was watching MTV Mandarin just now and only just found out Nakashima Mika has teamed up with Morisanchuu (yes Ooshima Miyuki's Morisanchuu) to form "Mica 3 Chu" and they have released a single.
An English single, at that. Called "I Don't Know". Such an interesting combination, right?!
Just read from Jen's vox that One Love has sold 440,325 copies!
Which
means it has outsold the #1-selling single for the first half of 2008: Aoyama
Thelma feat. SoulJa's Soba ni iru ne, which sold 439,073 copies.
according to
http://wiki.theppn.org/2008_Oricon_Top_100_Singles_-_Half_Year
BUT,
KAT-TUN's latest single Don't You Ever Stop released in June has actually sold more than 443,000
copies (sales boosted by the multiple editions I guess).
One Love is doing so well, nevertheless. =D
Okay, just to organise the figures
abit:
Love So Sweet: 442,120
We Can Make It!: 204,775
Happiness:
283,604
Step & Go: 374,449
One Love: 440,325*
To think that back in 2006, before LSS, Kitto Daijoubu & Aozora Pedaru's sales didn't even hit 200,000.
SO PROUD OF THEM!
I don't normally watch fanvideos but came across this particular one which was really good in a very understated kind of way.
Watch it to perhaps see what I mean?
Obviously, people do not stagnate, they continuously change.
Just like how Arashi has grown, I have grown too. And here I am, nostalgic over the experience of being a new fan. The relentless pursuit for more information, downloading of years of backlog of videos...finding out exactly just who these 5 people are beyond their onstage performances.
It's like when you first get into a relationship, when you first fall head over heels, you want to get to know the other person. Then you become so close where there isn't much of the person's self & past left for you to 'dig up' and then the relationship stablises. Intense passionate love becomes a seemingly milder companionate love (It is said that most romantic relationships fail when couples don't know how to make the transition smoothy but idk, have little experience lol). Doesn't mean that the love is any less. The quality differs but the quantity remains.
ok I am seriously babbling so I shall stop now.
Since I've digressed so much...a link to the wiki article on the Triangular theory of love, lol.
Have I mentioned how much I love One Love? Don't know why, it hooked me from first listen and totally got me back into being able to flail over Arashi. ^^
Also...uni exams all over! :)
Hope that I've passed everything so that I can graduate in August.
This day 2 years ago, I became an Arashi fan.
Thank you, Jun, Nino, Sho, Aiba and Ohno, it's been a good two years. <3
Smile Againありがとう
Smile Again泣きながら
生れてきた僕たちはたぶんピンチに強い
Smile Again君がいて
Smile Againうれしいよ
言わないけどはじめての深いいとおしさは嵐
Smile again, I'm smiling again.
Was bored, so I decided to finally look for the chinese version of "Kimi ga iru dake de", the song that Ohno sang on TFP2.
Chinese version is by Takeshi Kaneshiro (金城武)...and the only song of his that I've remembered till this day. Because it's so catchy! But I didn't know the song title though...
The music video is really..........as expected of the early 90s? Retro retro retro.
Original Japanese version: 君がいるだけで by 米米CLUB @ youtube (It's a "live" version, REALLY GOOD! seems like a recent performance.)
Want to make a gif out of this but am lazy (also, no time).
言い出せなくても構わないなんて 恋するチカラに敵わないんじゃない <- 'resemblance' in lyrics, maybe that's why he did that "heart overflowing with love" gesture as well? <- 我想太多了嗎?
PS: Don't you guys think that Leader on this week's Shukudai-kun, especially during Shiodome Aibaland was exceptionally CUTE? What is with the look on his face when he was carrying on with the book-on-the-head game when Nino had already won. And the sound effects were especially made of win. haha, kind of feel that this episode has been abit overlooked because of the DVD...
(skip if you haven't watched and don't like spoilers!)
no screencaps :( because vox keeps rejecting my uploads...
- one of the hosts laughed so much at Arashi's antics, at one point, he even had to hold onto his stomach while laughing. LOL
- they were so good that even when it seemed like they were not going to clear, they cleared at the last minute (literally, last seconds). i.e. Sho's banana soccer game.
- Nino & Aiba-chan. I am never going to get sick of them two going at it, and Aiba-chan saying "urusai" to Nino and smacking his head at one point. (Not the other way around yo! woohoo)
- The face that Leader made to Aiba-chan to hint to him during the music segment when Aiba-chan still couldn't guess what the song was. ROFL.
- At the beginning of the Wall Crash game, Jun rubbed Aiba-chan's face with his velcro gloves which led to Aiba-chan shouting "itai itai itai!" HAHAHAHAHA here I am being Do-S together with Jun.
- The fact that Jun listens to The Beatles. I love all the songs he listed, especially Hey Jude :)
many many more...
- Just the 5 of them, being a team. And working so well together.
9 years of chemistry 不是盖的!
